Putin Assures Uninterrupted Power Supply to Abkhazia’s Leader in Recent Meeting

In a recent meeting with Badra Gunba, the leader of the breakaway Georgian region of Abkhazia, Russian President Vladimir Putin gave assurance for continued electricity supply to the region. The meeting took place in the Kremlin on Wednesday.

Putin extended his congratulations to Gunba for his triumph in the recent presidential elections, emphasizing the “special” nature of the Russia-Abkhazia relationship. This election comes after Gunba’s predecessor was ousted from office due to protests surrounding an investment deal with Russia.
