Metis Token, a Layer 2 Rollup platform built on the Ethereum network, has announced it will be hosting an AMA on X on May 20th. The session is scheduled to begin at 16:00 UTC and will mainly focus on the latest advancements within the Hyperion ecosystem. This information was released via an official tweet by METIS.

Metis has been designed to address some of the significant challenges faced by the main Ethereum network, including transaction speed, cost, and scalability. By providing a framework for the swift deployment of smart contracts, Metis facilitates smooth and efficient operations on the Ethereum blockchain.

The platform’s key offerings are Metis Oracles, Metis Nodes, and Metis SubGraph. These features work together to improve the functionality and performance of the Ethereum network. Metis Oracles connect blockchains to external systems, providing smart contracts with vital external data. Metis Nodes store a complete copy of the network, bolstering security and reliability. The Metis SubGraph acts as an indexing protocol for gathering, processing, and storing data, easing information retrieval through a service known as GraphQL.

Metis’s governance token, METIS, is an ERC-20 token compatible with the Ethereum blockchain network. The primary uses for the METIS token include paying transaction fees on the Metis network and staking.
