This is the weakest since the month December 2015 as it gives up the mini recovery when Japan Bank did not step for defending the target. It also said that divergence of monetary policy and creating negative impact from the higher prices of the commodity on terms-of-trade for Japan.

The stance that has markets are pricing on the aggressive pace of the rate hikes. Though, the Bank of Japan remains dovish. Specifically given the fears of policy makers about high prices that caused by enhanced energy costs that can also impact hurt from economy.

As per the senior Japanese official it said that the monetary policy should stay loose. Though, the prices of higher commodity have pummeled yen in last few weeks. They also offer a wonderful impetus for the currencies of the commodity.

Here, Aussie dollar was about $0.75115 by holding four-month high level. The Canadian dollar run at 1.2496 per dollar, which is just away from two-month HIgh.

The new covid variant brought a new fear to the <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto market. <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>Bitcoin has fallen to $51K, and so are the other major coins. Find out the latest news on why <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto is down today.

After moving to its recent lowest price of $42,000 on December 4, <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>Bitcoin’s price recovered to $51.8K yesterday. However, today, it dropped to $50,163.54, with a 1.59% decrease in the past 24 hours. This is the primary reason why <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto is down today.

The low price isn’t limited to BTC only, but the whole market is seeing a downfall at this point. On December 4, Ethereum experienced the recent lowest price of $3632. It hasn’t recovered fully and is currently trading at $4319.12. It has plummeted 8.55% in the last seven days and 0.53% in the last 24 hours.

The new Covid variant Omicron shook worldwide markets, including hospitality and travel. The <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto market is affected immensely. BTC’s price is now similar to what it was in late August and early September. It took a while to recover back to its previous ATH price and made a new record of $69K on November 10. However, the price volatility never leaves BTC alone.

Looking at other cryptocurrencies: Solana is down 4.13% in 24 hours and 12.72% in the past week. Similarly, Cardano and Shiba Inu have plummeted 5.56% and 0.27% in the past 24 hours, and 12.94% and 18.80% in the last seven days, respectively.

Click here if you want to view the latest prices and market cap of all leading coins after the <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto is down.

The new Covid variant is all the rage these days, and it is turning <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>Bitcoin into a traditional asset. BTC is experiencing a price downfall since it touched its ATH price of $69K earlier this month. However, it still managed to rise above the $57K level and scored 5% gains in the past day.

So how the new Covid variant is related to <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>Bitcoin? The <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto market saw a quick downfall amidst the news of a new Covid variant. However, <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>Bitcoin didn’t follow the same trend, and it proved to be a traditional asset.

Avil Felman from BlockTower mentioned in a recent interview that BTC is an anchor asset. He also added that in a couple of years, it could become a traditional asset like stocks.

According to a survey, 41% of global respondents felt BTC be more trustworthy than their local currency. Although BTC had a 5% fall in November, the weekly inflows into investment products averaged at $94.4 million.

Moreover, Felman also said that metaverse, like many other similar projects, had witnessed increased traction even when <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>Bitcoin was weak in the past two weeks. It is also expected that metaverse will become a trillion-dollar industry by next year. So what about <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>Bitcoin? According to Felman, it will trade in a well-defined one to a two-year cycle but as a macro asset.

This shows that it is an asset with a varied set of market participants compared to the past. BTC might not witness the volatility and downtown as it did before in a few years.

A comparatively unclear <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>cryptocurrency called Omicron (OMIC) has flooded to an all-time high today. This token is named after the fast-spreading COVID-19 variant. Additionally, the Omricorn token hit an all-time high of $689 a couple of hours ago. Moreover, this move had added another 200% gains on the day for the token and a whopping 945% since Saturday when it was trading around $65 (at the time of writing).

Omicron Price Chart (Source: CoinGecko)

This token shares the identity with a new Covid-19 variant. This variant was first found in South Africa on Nov. 23. The WHO called the fast-spreading B.1.1.529 strain after the 15th letter of the Greek alphabet.

Also, the famous <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto critic “Mr. Whale” said that the hefty price spike was a sign that things were in a huge bubble.

Omicron is a localized reserve currency decorum that functions on the Ethereum layer two network Arbitrum.
This token can only be traded on the SushiSwap localized exchange, which has seen $454,000 in volume for the OMIC/USDC pair over the past 24 hours (at the time of writing). Further, token analytics has no details on the supply of OMIC.

As per CEO Brad Garlinghouse’s tweet, two companies will work together to prevent and detect such scams in the future.

To create fake giveaways, scammers took over existing accounts and changed them to appear as accounts of prominent figures in the <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto world, CoinTelegraph.com says. From such accounts, scammers would ask users to send XRP to a wallet address. In return, they promised to send back five times the money received.

With COVID-19 lockdowns taking place in the first half of 2020, social media scams have increased significantly. According to the data from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, only in the first half of 2020 losses from social media scams reached $117 million, compared to $134 million over the whole year 2019.

Among the most notable hacks of last year was the massive Twitter breach where hackers took over high-profile accounts of Elon Musk, Barrack Obama, and Bill Gates, among others, and scammed <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto out of users.
