Date:

Electronic Gigantic Samsung is planning to incorporate NFT features into new Micro LED, Neo QLED and the Frame smart TVs. Soon buyers of their new smart TVs will be able to buy, browse and sell Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) right from the comfort of their homes.

The announcement was public by the South Korean multinational corporation Samsung Electronics today. The company’s new smart TV lineups, including MICRO LED, Neo QLED, and The Frame, will have a Unified NFT platform from the get-go.

Further, will be incorporating the NFT platform application feature as an integrated and intuitive platform for purchasing, discovering and trading digital artwork through the Neo QLED, MICRO LED and The Frame.

Samsung is definitely making its way to the NFTs seriously!

However, it is not completely clear how this new platform will work and what (if any) NFT marketplaces—OpenSea or Raible, for example, will integrate the Samsung application

Moreover, the latest announcement by Samsung comes in the middleman already ongoing push to adopt NFTs made by some other mainstream companies. A little while ago, sporting goods giant Nike announced the acquisition of RTFKT Studios. They have mentioned:

“A leading brand that leverages cutting edge innovation to deliver next-generation collectibles that merge culture and gaming.”

Furthermore, On December 29, Ferrari also signed a deal with Swiss Blockchain firm Velas to create NFTs for its fans. Though, not everyone is happy with the accelerating speed at which NFTs are penetrating other industries. Though, gamers are perhaps the most vocal group in this regard.

In addition, in early December, major video games publisher Ubisoft demonstrated Quartz, the company’s new platform that will allow players to earn, collect, and trade NFTs. These NFTs will be in the form of the so-called Digits and got blasted for it.

Yesterday, well-known “crypto Twitter ” personality Cobie also brought this topic up. He argued that “the outrage from gamers over the inclusion of NFTs is an astronomical unwitting vote against self-interest.

Lastly, Samsung is in the queue and making its way to the world of the NFTs!
