Bitcoin Bribery Scandal Ignites No-Confidence Vote Demand in Czech Government

Date:

The ANO party, a prominent opposition force in the Czech Republic, is poised to demand a vote of no confidence against the current government. The move comes in the wake of a major Bitcoin-related scandal involving the justice minister, who resigned following revelations of accepting a Bitcoin gift worth $45 million from a former convict, intended for the ministry.

Deputy ANO chief, Karel Havlicek, disclosed this development on Tuesday. Speaking on Czech Television, Havlicek stated, “Unless something absolutely exceptional happens, we will trigger a no-confidence vote.” He firmly added, “There is no other option.”
