In the days leading up to the Blockchain Summit, Turkey has announced additional information about its e-Human initiative. The president spoke on the blockchain-powered project, which has been one of the most discussed initiatives in the state.

Even though it is still in its infancy, President Tayyip Erdoğan believes blockchain technology will be a huge asset to the project. According to the release, this would ensure the safety of all data and information collected for the initiative and utilized by the government.

Erdoğan is Looking to Increase Job Possibilities

The e-Human initiative is only a way for the presidency to communicate and exchange information, despite its flashy title. The country’s citizens would benefit in a number of ways from this approach, including the recruitment of top-notch individuals. As a result, both current students and recent grads will have better access to job openings in the public and private sectors of the economy.

In addition, current employees will be given the opportunity to participate in training for the new e-Human initiative. The foundation of the initiative is to train enough Turks with marketable talents to guarantee the country’s progress.

Extremely High Rates of <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>Cryptocurrency Adoption Persist in Turkey

Earlier this year, Turkish blockchain startup TOGG inched its way into a relationship with American startup Ava Labs, so this isn’t the country’s first time dabbling in blockchain-backed projects. Through the use of smart contracts, the blockchain firm will aid the automakers in providing safer and quicker service.

Prior to a presidential edict banning <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>cryptocurrency and its users, Turkey was another safe haven.
Payments for goods and services in digital assets were outlawed nationwide in April of last year.
Despite its stance against cryptocurrencies since then, the nation has been heavily invested in developing a blockchain-based digital economy.

Despite initial claims that it will develop a national blockchain, no further information has been made public. Contrary to the government’s efforts to stamp out the use of cryptocurrencies, their acceptance rate in Turkey is skyrocketing. There are a number of crypto-related events being held across the area, and newer organizations are always looking for opportunities to set up shop there. According to a new report by Chainalysis, the Turkish <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>cryptocurrency sector is expanding at an irregular rate, propelling the state into the top 20 countries for <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>cryptocurrency adoption.

Turkey is witnessing a resurrection in <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>cryptocurrency trade of above one million per day. This is happening due to a continuous depreciation of the country’s currency.

Turks have started to see a safe haven in <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto to avoid the effects of soaring inflation. Also, it worries the country’s economic policy has seen the lira slump nearly 40% since September.

Moreover, according to the data from blockchain analysis firms Kaiko and Chainalysis, one million-a-day edge was first seen to have surpassed earlier in 2021. Further, the sudden substitution of Turkey’s central bank chief in March triggered the lira’s first significant slump of the year.

Besides that, the lira has lost 90% of its value since 2008. This loss has made Turks convert the currency into US dollars or gold more commonly. However, since the rise in the price of cryptocurrencies this year, trading in <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto has had a rush in popularity.

In addition, if we see Data from Chainalysis and Kaiko, <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>Bitcoin and Tether have been the most popular for lira trades since 2019. However, Turkish authorities have been keeping a close eye on the rise in <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto trading.

In September, Reuters reported that Turkey’s deputy finance minister said that the emerging asset class regulations would be introduced.

The central bank of Turkey introduced a ban on using crypto for payments, because of possible risks of transactions, Reuters reports. According to the source, citing the Official Gazette, the bank prohibited buying goods and services with digital assets built on DLT, which include <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto.

Reuters writes that the bank explained its decision saying that transacting with <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto poses security risks. In particular, these risks are connected to <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>crypto’s decentralized nature and lack of regulation. This ban will come into effect on April 30.

<a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>Bitcoin and some altcoins have decreased in price after the announcement. <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>Bitcoin has lost around 3% and Ethereum has lost about 3%. Moreover, Binance Coin is down by about 9%, and XRP fell by about 12% in the last 24 hours, per Coin Market Cap data.

The <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>cryptocurrency that is outperforming today with its massive 24-hour gains of almost 200% is Dogecoin. According to CNN, the significant boost of <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>DOGE price could be related to Elon Musk tweeting about the meme-like crypto. He tweeted a photo of a painting by a Spanish artist captioning it “<a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>Doge Barking at the Moon,” the source says.

Support for <a class="lar-automated-link" href="https://accounts.binance.com/register?ref=42224911" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" 4536>DOGE already pushed it to the tenth place among cryptocurrencies by market cap this week. Now, it has already climbed to fifth, per Coin Market Cap data, and is trading at around $0.39 at the time of writing.
