Crypto.com Announces Removal of USDT and Nine Other Tokens for European Users on January 31st

Date:

On January 31, Crypto.com is set to purge ten tokens, including the widely popular Tether (USDT), from its platform for its users based in Europe. The leading cryptocurrency exchange platform announced this move recently, which has sparked conversations within the crypto community.

The other nine tokens to be delisted are: Crypto.com Coin (CRO), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Stellar (XLM), EOS, Chainlink (LINK), Tezos (XTZ), and Cardano (ADA). The decision to delist these tokens is a result of regulatory compliance issues in certain European jurisdictions, as per the official statement.

Users from these regions have until January 31 to withdraw or sell these tokens. After the deadline, the tokens will be suspended indefinitely. However, users will still be able to withdraw their assets for a certain period even after they are delisted.
