The NASA MarsXR Challenge is a new challenge. This challenge is the cause of the US space agency in collaboration with Epic Games and Buendea.
As per the reports by Herox, the NASA MarsXR Challenge is doing all the hard work out of their commitment for the developers. These developers want to help create experiences in the Martian metaverse using virtual reality (XR).
Further, Developers must create new resources and scenarios. The resources are an investment in the new Mars XR Operations Support System (XOSS). Further, this new environment uses Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5.
The information about Mars already published by NASA covers the entire Martian day. They contain orange shades of day and blue night. Moreover, these weather conditions also contain 400 km2 of realistic and detailed terrain on a distant planet.
NASA challenge: Prize Pool
The Martian Metaverse Creation Challenge has a prize pool of $70,000. It is divided into twenty individual distinctions.
Moreover, there are four prizes in each of the five categories. In these categories, creators can create specific scenarios. Also, the winner of the category will receive $6,000.

According to the competition schedule, the deadline for submitting applications expires on July 26. The winner will be after a two-month evaluation period on September 27, 2022.
At the time of writing, 25 teams and 266 innovators have signed up to participate in the challenge.
Epic Games has already become famous for its revolutionary programming engine Unreal Engine 5. It was in such hits as Fortnite or the latest part of the critically acclaimed Kingdom Hearts IV.
Unreal Engine 5 has also recently got support from major investments. A billion dollars was invested in it by SONY. On the other hand, billion dollars by Kiribi – the company that owns LEGO.
NASA is no stranger to incredibly interesting challenges.
