WildBrain, the company that owns the children’s show Teletubbies, revealed an April Fools’ initiative set to spread hugs and help children in need. According to License Global, the company released a fictional cryptocurrency TubbyCoin. It features the four main characters from Teletubbies and the phrase “Big Hugs!”

The source also says that WildBrain will be making a charitable donation of $5,000 to Kids Help Phone. Users of social media are encouraged to share the fictional cryptocurrency TubbyCoin with their networks, together with the hashtag #TubbyCoin. This will help spread hugs and increase the charitable donation. According to the source, WildBrain will be adding a dollar per social media post with the hashtag #TubbyCoin to their donation, for a total of up to $10,000.

Various companies run April Fools’ days pranks each year. However, users are left wondering what is real and what is a joke. Chipotle has announced a giveaway of burritos and Bitcoin to happen on April 1st, as it is also a National Burrito Day. According to Los Angeles Daily News, the promotion is not a prank. In particular, participating users have a chance to win a free burrito, $500 in Bitcoin, or $25,000 in Bitcoin.

India’s e-commerce company Flipkart announced that it would be accepting Bitcoin for payments. However, since the announcement appeared on Twitter nearing April Fools’, many users put it into question, Cointelegraph says.
