The school’s press release announced on October 28 disclosed this news. It said that the Wharton School would start accepting Bitcoin and other cryptos for tuition fees. However, this payment method is only for their online Blockchain and digital assets program scheduled for January 2022.

As the news stated, the Ivy League business school will launch a six-week “Economics of Blockchain & Digital Assets” program for business and tech professionals. The academic director of this program said that digital assets and Blockchain are here to stay. These classes are designed to help execs and professionals from different backgrounds like management, finance, and tech.

Meanwhile, Wharton School is the first Ivy League or US business to accept crypto for tuition fees from participants. Also, one of the biggest crypto supporters, Elon Musk, is among the Wharton School’s alumni network. With crypto-assets going mainstream each day, more institutes will soon offer crypto as their payment method.
