PwC Hong Kong is an international subsidiary of the global PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) organization. They announced on Thursday its appearance in the metaverse space with the acquisition of LAND in the famous world, the Sandbox.
However, the cost of its LAND asset is still unknown. Further, PwC Hong Kong wants to construct a Web 3.0 advisory hub. They want to facilitate a new generation of professional services, including accounting and taxation.
Furthermore, the headquarters of the PWC in London, United Kingdom, documented revenues of $45 billion from June 2020 to June 2021, which were high 2% from the previous year.
The crypto leader of the PwC, Henri Arslanian, said that similar conglomerates and venture capital funds are capturing opportunities for small startups. They want small businesses to participate in the crypto startup’s growth.
In addition, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey expressed similar concerns about the power of the venture. He added that the capital firms are preventing Web 3.0 developers from achieving their decentralized vision.
Moreover, the COO of The Sandbox, Sebastien Borget, also shared his enthusiasm that the metaverse is open for business. We want to welcome PwC Hong Kong to experience how The Sandbox fosters new immersive experiences. He added that we want to look out for ways for brands to connect with customers.
To conclude, according to data from DappRadar, The Sandbox has registered 4,450 unique users over the last 30 days. While the platform’s native token, SAND, is priced at $5.84, having retraced almost 30% from all-time highs last month.
