The creator of Bitcoin (BTC) is identified as Satoshi Nakamoto. The identity of the Bitcoin creator has remained as one of the best-kept secrets in the developing world of digital currencies to date.
Although many have tried to guess who this personality is. Even Australian Computer Scientist Craig Wright has often claimed the proprietorship of the intellectual property of the BTC protocol, an argument many do not believe.
Further, the quest and game disclosed Satoshi’s Nakamoto individuality lingers; Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk has further contributed his voice to the debate.
On his appearance on the Lex Fridman’s Podcast, Musk unquestionably answered that Satoshi might just be Nick Szabo. He is a computer scientist, cryptographer, and legal scholar known for his digital currency research.
Also, in the podcast, he explained his reason for the pick and added:
“You can look at the evolution of ideas before the launch of bitcoin and see who wrote about those ideas. It seems as though Nick Szabo is probably, more than anyone else, responsible for the evolution of those ideas. He claims not to be Nakamoto, but I’m not sure that’s neither here nor there. But he seems to be the one more responsible for the ideas behind bitcoin than anyone else.”
Nick Or Satoshi Nakamoto?
Moreover, Nick has been connected with Bitcoin in the past because of his early digital money work. Though, he himself has denied being the Satoshi Nakamoto everyone is looking for. Plus, the linguistic style of Nick is closely similar to those used in the Bitcoin whitepaper, as provided in a 2014 report by a team of linguists.
In addition, the recently concluded legal battle between Craig Wright and the family of his late business partner, Dave Kleiman, would have given more insights into the truth behind Wright’s claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto. However, the jury did not dwell on the identity of Satoshi, and since Wright won, there was no need to split the 1.1 million BTC that was under contention per the lawsuit.
Till now Satoshi Nakamoto is set to reveal himself, more guesses are likely to permeate the digital currency industry.
