Joey Krug, Pantera CEO believes that Ethereum will play the main role in global finance in the next 10 years.
In a recent interview with Bloomberg, Krug made comments about Ethereum. Joey Krug is the Co-Chief Investment Officer of hedge fund Pantera Capital.
In an interview with Bloomberg, he said that Ethereum would be a major part of the financial space in the decade ahead.
Further, he made a provisional late production stating that in the next 10 years 50% of the global financial transactions might involve Ethereum.
Moreover, he saw an optimistic future for the world’s number one network for smart contracts. Also, Krug does not think the several competing networks, like Polkadot, Solana, and Cardano, would prove a major threat to Ethereum’s dominance.
Ethereum has been steadily becoming a hub for financial services, led by the pioneering niche of decentralized finance (DeFi).
Ethereum Scalability Upgrades Key To Growth-Krug
There’s little doubt that scalability must be tackled for Ethereum to achieve Krug prediction. Ethereum gas fees continue to be a pain point for many investors. This continues even though NFTs and DeFi services have attracted more users than ever before.
While solutions by the likes of Polygon Network have proven effective, it is not still wide enough for it to achieve the level of dominance. It will take alot more for ethereum to become the genuinely global platform
However, the outlook is good, as many such initiatives occur. Investors can have some reassurance knowing that the next 12 or so months will see many upgrades.
