A Beta version of onXRP’s NFT marketplace, one of the most prominent XRPL initiatives, will be released. According to the notice, the rollout will begin on devnet today at 3 p.m. European time.
After the debut of its battle royale blockchain arcade game, Maladroids, onXRP, one of the most actively growing XRP-based ecosystems, is releasing its own marketplace, on which development has been ongoing since March. Based on Ripple CTO David Schwartz’s recent praise for XRPL projects and NFTs in particular, the onXRP team has revealed plans to launch their own NFT marketplace.
Release of XLS-20 from XRPL Is a Spooky Gift for the Holiday
Since the XLS-20 modification to the XRPL is about to be accepted, launching the onXRP marketplace couldn’t have been more timed. The new rule will hopefully spark a revolution in the world of NFTs on the blockchain, resulting in a flood of digital artists and the proliferation of freshly created programs and things.
Even though the long-awaited invention has been held up because of a glitch, it may ultimately be put into effect as soon as October 31.
It seems that both XRPL projects and Ripple are targeting the NFT market. The cryptocurrency firm invests heavily in research and development programs like XLS-20, as well as Web3 applications, metaverses, and media and entertainment endeavors. However, based on recent developments of Solana and Cardano, it seems that the struggle in the sector may take a new turn with the introduction of XRP Ledger.
