American fast-food giant, McDonald’s is celebrating the Chinese Lunar New Year festival by creating a zodiac collection in the Metaverse.
As per the recent information available, the fast-food company joined forces with Humberto Leon. He is the co-founder of the foremost fashion brand Opening Ceremony. They collaborated to develop “a one-of-a-kind collection of zodiac animal designs.”

McDonald’s and the partnership between these two international brands are aimed at creating a virtual reality experience. They are creating it in the honor of the festival which is commonly known as the Year of the Tiger.
Further, the designs would be created by Humberto Leon. He is a Chinese-Peruvian American whose cross-cultural identity comes to the fore in the designs.
Moreover, the customers would be able to access Leon’s design by visiting the life-like exhibit on virtual reality social platforms. In this space, they can also receive horoscopic readings of their year. These readings will be based on their year of birth and their zodiac animal.
McDonald’s Senior Director of Cultural Engagement says that there can’t be a better time for her company to enter the Metaverse than now. This, according to her, is because the Year of the Tiger is a representation of bravery, strength, and confidence.
The Chinese Lunar New Year festival is an annual festival that marks the arrival of the new cycle of the Moon in the country. The celebrations and festivities for the event can run up to 15 days.

Furthermore, the firm quickly acknowledged this development in the crypto space. They confirmed it with th tweet where it asked how the crypto community was faring.
In addition, the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, also said on Twitter. He said was going to eat a McDonald’s Happy Meal on TV. Only if the restaurant started accepting Doge as a form of payment for its foods.
The restaurant, however, responded that it was going to accept the coin only when Musk’s Tesla accepts “Grimace Coin.”
