Pantera Capital CEO Says Ethereum Has More Potential Than Bitcoin

Date:

As DeFi lovers await Ethereum 2.0, top experts are betting big on the new revamped Ethereum ecosystem. Comparing Ethereum to Bitcoin is nothing new and we have had several opinions and arguments where Ethereum is positioned as the cryptocurrency with more potential than Bitcoin

Now, the CEO of Pantera Capital, one of the biggest tech investment firms globally, has said that Ethereum has more potential than Bitcoin in the long run. Pantera Capital CEO, Dan Morehead has also said that with the launch of the latest EIP-1559 it will emerge as a more stable asset class like Bitcoin

Commenting on the impact the new changes would have, Morehead, said that it would help Ether tokens move ahead of Bitcoins in the near future. He said that the latest updates will help the tokens become more like a fixed asset.

“You’ll see a transition of people who want to store wealth, doing it in Ether rather than just Bitcoin,” Morehead said. He also noted that the shift to Ethereum 2.0 will be welcoming as it will make the Ethereum network much more energy-efficient than Bitcoin.

Pantera CEO also said that due to the wider adoption of Ethereum in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space, it has the potential to outrun Bitcoin in use and popularity.
